Director of Operations
Miss Kifatisoa Douti serves as the director of operations for Africa Forward Initiative. She was born and raised in Koumea, a small village located in the northern region of Togo. At the age of 14, she made the difficult decision to leave school due to her family’s financial constraints. Nevertheless, Kifatisoa's determination was unwavering. With a small piece of farmland generously provided by her parents, she cultivated vegetables and sweet potatoes, which she sold at the village marketplace. The proceeds enabled her to support her brother's education, and also to begin saving. Business was a passion close to her heart, and she used her savings to launch a modest food shop that thrived within the community.
Kifatisoa, a resolute and ambitious young woman with a profound concern for others, took a significant step in 2021 when she joined the Youth Association of Koumea. This association's mission was to aid the elderly in the community and foster the development of skills and capacity among young people, empowering them to become active, responsible, and thriving members of their community. Within six months of joining, she was appointed as the leader of young girls, and as such she played a pivotal role in engaging and involving young girls in the village.
In addition to these responsibilities, Kifatisoa championed economic initiatives, offered training, and advocated for equitable access to resources and markets.
In late 2021, Kifatisoa assumed the role of director for a microloan program, which subsequently evolved into a nonprofit organization named Africa Forward Initiative Inc. Her relentless pursuit of education was evident as she embarked on night classes to further her academic journey. Today, she holds the esteemed position of director of operations at Africa Forward Initiative Inc. Her dreams and aspirations include completing her high school education and pursuing college studies, with a focus on marketing and business administration. Through her remarkable journey, she aspires to provide hope and mentorship to young girls within African communities.
